Pastor Lucas graduated from Berkshire Christian College in Massachusetts in 1977. He began his ministry at Dover Advent Christian Church three months later.

He and his wife Paula have four children: Angela McCarthy, Shannon Williams, Chris Lucas, & Michael Lucas.

Shannon graduated from Flagler College in Florida in 2003. She began working at Dover Advent Christian Church in May 2003.

Shannon is married to Ralph Williams, Jr. They had their first child, Lucas, in November.
